Each day in Albuquerque, people are experiencing homelessness for many different reasons. For some, their circumstances are temporary and caused by a difficult financial or family situation.
For others, it might be a behavioral health, physical health and or substance abuse issue, which can only add to the complexity of their situation.
Yet regardless of why people are on the streets, they share one common need.
People experiencing homelessness need a place to go that provides safety, dignity, and a path to permanent housing and other community resources.
The Department of Family and Community Services is providing quality health and social services, housing, recreation and education to improve the quality of life for the entire Albuquerque Community.
