Festival of the Cranes Providing 4 Days Outdoor Adventures

The 31st annual Festival of the Cranes focuses on four days of excellent birding and photography events for both the novice and experienced visitor.

There are hikes and guided tours as well as Saturday’s Wildlife Zone for kids of all ages.

The Expo Tent is full of camera, optics, and EcoTour companies where you can gather information or try out high-end equipment.

With the success of the crops and wetlands, organizer expects thousands of sandhill cranes, geese, ducks, and other birds to be out for people to enjoy.

General admission to the refuge is cost-free during Festival. 

Festival of the Cranes runs from Wednesday, November 14 through Saturday, November 17 on the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, with a few pre-and post events running off the refuge at Abo, VLA, White Sands Missile Range.
