Albuquerque hosts ‘Navy Week’

Mornings

Since 2005, the Navy Week program has served as the Navy’s principal outreach effort into areas of the country without a significant Navy presence, with 210 Navy Weeks held in 74 different U.S. cities.

The program is designed to educate and help Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.

Selected as one of 14 cities to host the week-long celebration, the United States Navy will be at the center of the greater Albuquerque community for Navy Week which began on September 10 and runs through September 16.

Running in conjunction with the New Mexico State Fair, the Navy Week will bring Sailors from all across the United States to the city.

Albuquerque has hosted two previous Navy Weeks in 2009 and 2016.
