Albuquerque High’s Drama Department to perform ‘Little Shop of Horrors’

Mornings

The Albuquerque High Drama Department is gearing up for their production of “Little Shop of Horrors”, a musical based on the film by Roger Corman, about the meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn who stumbles across a new breed of plant that he names Audrey II after his coworker crush.

This R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it blood. Over time, however, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination.

This play is suitable for anyone age 7 and up due to the carnivorous actions of the plant, Audrey II. The production stars students from every grade at Albuquerque High School.

“Little Shop of Horrors” runs March 28-30 and April 4-6, 2019 at the Albuquerque High School Performing Arts Center.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7:00. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students, and $3 for thespians.
