ABQ Garden Clubs host longest, most successful plant sale


The Council of Abq Garden Clubs is the umbrella organization for all of the Garden Clubs in Albuquerque as well as for the Master Gardeners.

They do all kinds of civic events, some of which are the annual Garden Fair and Plant Sale and the Tomato Fiesta, and the Garden Tour. They operate the Hotline where residents can find answers to their gardening questions.

They work with Arca, the Hubbell House Programs, and the Libraries with Master Gardeners who are there to answer questions.


  • When: Friday, April 26. 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. / Saturday, April 27. 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 
  • Where: Albuquerque Garden Center / 10120 Lomas NE. Free Admission and Parking.

The only place to get locally-grown bedding plants and home-grown “Heirloom” tomatoes from Garden Council gardeners.

Also available, area-grown Annuals, Herbs and Perennials, Xeric Plants, Dahlias and Daylilies, bedding plants. Find your Hanging Baskets and Container Plants, African Violets and Houseplants here.

If you are looking for plants that will thrive in our high desert environment. they have them. This is the longest and most successful plant sale in Albuquerque, going strong since 1973.
