New adoption center kicks off weekend-long adoption event with low-cost adoption fees, May 25-June 29.
On May 25, the City of Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department will celebrate the grand re-opening of the PetSmart Charities Everyday Adoption Center located within the East Albuquerque PetSmart in partnership with the leading funder of animal welfare in North America, PetSmart Charities.
The new partnership will serve as an additional adoption location for the Animal Welfare Department to help pets find their forever homes. In 2017 alone, the City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department took in more than 15,000 pets in need.
To celebrate, from May 25 through June 29, adoptable pets will be available for a discounted fee of $10, which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, license, and complimentary dog training from the Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department.
