New Mexicans are hitting the polls in droves ahead of midterm elections.
The Secretary of State’s Office says just in the last week, 31,000 more New Mexicans have voted either absentee or early, bringing the total number statewide to just over 46,000 people.
KRQE News 13 stopped by a mobile voting center near Menaul and Wyoming in Albuquerque as early voting kicked off in Bernalillo County.
The mobile voting center will be placed near a different senior facility each day during early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Voters say the mobile voting centers already making a big difference.
Early voting numbers show about 10,000 more Democrats have voted absentee and early statewide than Republicans.
