ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Monday, there was a little friendly competition in the courtroom.

Staff at Metro Court and staff at District Court went head to head to see who could carve the best pumpkin.

Judges and court officers from both courts were brought in to pick the winner.

They say the courts work together so often that a little friendly competition never hurts.

“It’s great. Halloween is a big morale building day within the court system both metro and district court the staff love it,” said Judge Shannon Bacon.

District court ended up winning. They get a cash prize, a trophy and of course bragging rights.
