Meeting planned in Santa Fe about ‘South Capitol Creeper’

News

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – A Santa Fe community on edge will come together to see what they can do to protect themselves from a man they’ve dubbed the “South Capitol Creeper.”

Last summer, a man was going around the neighborhood exposing himself and in some cases actually touching women. Just recently, a woman says a man exposed himself to her outside her home, then ran away after she hit him with a stick.

Police can’t say for sure if it’s the same man in all the cases. The woman in the latest incident is organizing a community meeting Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Harvey Cornell Rose Park.

Detectives will also be there to answer any questions, and there will be self-defense lessons.
