Mayhill business removes signs from windows, apologizes

A group representing Muslim Americans is claiming victory in its fight against a business in Mayhill.

KRQE News 13 told viewers about signs in the window of the Mayhill convenience store last year.

One sign read, “Obama and Muslims not welcomed here,” another read, “Where’s the KKK when you need them?”

The Council on American-Islam Relations filed a human rights complaint against the business.

They say the owner has since taken all the signs down and apologized.

The council says they will now be withdrawing their claim.
