We will remain in between storm systems for the next couple of days. Skies will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid 70s.
Changes roll back in for the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across northern New Mexico on Saturday. We could even see a few showers here in the Albuquerque metro area by Saturday afternoon. While storms will mostly be limited to the northern third of the state, cool air will overspread most of New Mexico.
We remain in the storm track for the next few weeks. Long-term models show a storm rolling in about every seven days. That should help to keep fire danger down and moisture levels up.
