The big story on Wednesday’s weather will be the wind and heat across eastern New Mexico. Winds will top 50 miles per hour across the eastside of the state and temperatures will soar into the 70s in the northeast and into the high 80s in the southeast. This will lead to high fire danger and near record breaking heat.
We should remain dry into and through the weekend. Although, we will have rounds of clouds occasionally our next best chance for a storm still looks like the beginning of next week. That storm could open the door for more behind it through the month of March.
