A ridge of high pressure to our west will keep our weather tranquil through the Valentine’s Day weekend. Highs will top out well into the 60’s with mostly sunny skies. Real changes roll in for the beginning of the work week. A powerful cold front combined with a storm system moving into the Southwest will combine to spread the chance of snow over a good portion of New Mexico. At this point the biggest concern is with the track of the storm. Right now models show it rolling through the heart of the state. However, if it just skims north we will miss out. We will keep a close eye on this through the weekend.
