Police are investigating a woman’s death in southwest Albuquerque stemming from domestic violence.
Wednesday morning, Albuquerque Police officers were dispatched after receiving a phone call from a male who told officers he choked his fiance, killing her, before attempting to then kill himself.
Officers responded to the area of Gonzales and Bataan where they discovered a deceased female at a home.
The male suspect was taken to UNM Hospital and is being treated for a self-inflicted stab wound to his chest.
The victim’s name has not been released.
This is an ongoing investigation.
