Man accused of shooting at police faces federal charges


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man accused of shooting at police is now facing federal charges.

Federal prosecutors said 35-year-old Moses Hernandez is a felon and prohibited from having a gun.

Last week, Hernandez was arrested near Chico and Central Avenue after officers said he shot at them. He faces up to 10 years behind bars for the weapons charge, 15 if he’s found to be a career criminal.
