A man accused of forcing his way into a woman’s apartment and raping her is staying behind bars until trial.
It happened at the Cinnamon Tree Apartments on Central near Louisiana earlier this month.
Police say 22-year-old Charles Taylor bound the 59-year-old woman with Multiple Sclerosis, then assaulted and robbed her.
Wednesday in court Judge Christina Argyres heard from the state about the emotional trauma the victim has endured.
At the time of the arrest, Albuquerque Police expressed concern that Taylor was out on the streets at all, since he has a long criminal history.
In January he was accused of breaking into a home and threatening a homeowner at knifepoint.
