Man accused of robbing check cashing store after it denied his loan

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department arrested a man who tried to rob the check cashing store that denied him a loan.

Earlier this month, police say 33-year-old Alfredo Miller went into the cash store near San Mateo and Central. They say he was turned down for a loan.

Miller allegedly told a cashier he needed the money, so he would just rob the store instead. He left with more than $1,200, but left all of his information with the cashier, including his date of birth and drivers license photo.
