A man accused of killing a man on an Albuquerque bike path wants to clear his name with DNA.
Charles Ziegler is facing murder charges in the death of Eric Hicks.
Hicks was stabbed to death at the Arroyo Bike Path near Candelaria and Richmond in September.
Police believe Ziegler killed Hicks over drugs.
Earlier this month, Ziegler’s attorney filed a motion asking the court to test a knife entered into evidence for someone else’s DNA.
Ziegler says that will prove he did not kill Hicks.
A judge will allow the testing.
