The community remembered the lives that have gone ahead during the Dia de Los Muertos celebration.
Consulado de Mexico and Garcia Mortuary hosted this year’s celebration at the South Broadway Cultural Center.
It featured both traditional and contemporary ofrendas to honor the deceased.
People News 13 spoke to say it is important to remember the past.
“Although I may have a memory of my grandfather and he’s gone and past, my children don’t have a memory of him. So by me taking a photo and maybe explaining who he is, then it keeps his spirit alive,” says Anna Marie, volunteer.
The exhibit will run through November 17.
