Los Alamos National Lab is expected to be fined for exceeding limits for storing hazardous waste.

According to the Los Alamos Monitor, state officials say the lab stored two waste containers over the 90 day storage time limit.

It claims the lab also stored three containers over a one-year time limit.

Both are violations with fines up to $10,000 a day.

A lab official says they will work to follow the rules more closely.
