Lomas, Central reopen after bomb threat at Manzano Day School


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Parts of Lomas and Central were shut down after a reported bomb threat at Manzano Day School near Old Town.

The Albuquerque Police Department says that the threat was received via email around 7:30 Wednesday morning. As a precaution, the school was evacuated and the surrounding streets were closed.

Police say that officers and the APD Bomb Squad did not locate any threats and cleared the school.

Investigators are now working to determine who sent the email.

Staff and students at Manzano Day School have resumed their normal operations.
