The lockdowns have been lifted for three schools in the southwest Albuquerque area.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office says they received an anonymous call regarding a possible armed subject in the area. No armed subjects were located and the affected school campuses have been cleared.

Approximately 11:55 a.m. Ernie Pyle Middle School was placed on lockdown due to police activity in the area. Then, ten minutes later APS sent out a tweet that Kit Carson Elementary School was placed on lockdown for the same reason.

The New America School was also placed on lockdown.

The schools are near one another in southwest Albuquerque near Isleta Blvd SW and Arenal Rd SW.
