ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two police oversight groups could be seeing some cuts.
The Civilian Police Oversight Agency and the Police Oversight Board are charged with making sure officers and the department is following the rules. Under the mayor’s proposed budget they would get less money this year.
A mayor’s spokesperson says it’s still more than is required under city ordinance.
The groups are expressing concerns they won’t have enough money to operate.
