Local high schooler asks for help tracking down stolen trumpet

A Sandia High School student is trying to track down his stolen trumpet.

Thursday night the band room was broken into and the teen’s trumpet was taken.

The boy’s father told KRQE News 13 he got word someone is trying to sell the instrument around town.

He is asking for you to call the police if you see it on social media.

“My kid loves music and he’s been playing music for three years now and had a trumpet that would last him until college if he wanted to keep it that long and now he doesn’t have that,” says Keith Vizcarrando.

The stolen trumpet is a silver Beson trumpet with a mouthpiece and a blue case.
