Local Artist demonstrates fun ways to make artwork with reclaimed materials

News

The ABQ Recycled Art Fair 2018 takes place at the Open Space Visitor Centre at 6500 Coors Blvd. NW. from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15.

There will be over 30 booths from artists who use reclaimed materials in their work, and plenty of hands-on activities including some free make and take opportunities from Color Wheel Toys!

Keri Peihl stopped by the KRQE studio to demonstrate some of the fun ways to re-purpose and re-use materials to make art.

Using reclaimed materials in crafting is cheaper, more accessible and while not going to single-handedly undo environmental damage caused by pollution, it makes people more mindful of what goes to the landfill.
