Lobo men fall at Air Force

News

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Craig Neal worked on finishing strong with his Lobos this week. It did not keep them from avoiding a 53 to 49 setback at the Air Force Academy on Wednesday night.

The Lobos trailed 28 to 26 at halftime, but fought their way into the lead in the second half by as much as five points. That lead did not hold as the Lobos would go cold. Senior guard Hugh Greenwood led the Lobos with 15 points and 8 rebounds.

The Lobos only other senior guard, Deshawn Delaney, contributed 14 points in the loss. The Falcons were led by a former New Mexico high school star. Marek Olesinki put the hurt on his home state by scoring 18 points to led his team to victory.

With the loss, the Lobos drop to 6 and 4 in Mountain West play and 14 and 8 overall. They will host Utah State on Saturday.
