ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - The cold, windy weather had attendance down at the Albuquerque BioPark this spring break.
The state's largest school district is on spring break this week, which is usually a popular time to take kids to the zoo, aquarium or botanic gardens.
From Saturday through Wednesday this week, 17,000 people visited. That's down about 9,000 people from the same time period last year.
Although, last year we also had an unseasonably warm winter. The BioPark says temps are warming up this weekend and it's the perfect time to get outside and explore.
