New Mexico ranks 48th in broadband connection

New Mexico is one of the least connected states to broadband in the nation.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the state ranks 48th for households with broadband internet subscriptions.

In 2016, 73.7 percent of New Mexico homes had broadband.

That’s below the U.S. average of 81.4 percent.

Meanwhile, Washington leads the nation at 87.4 percent.
