Las Cruces girl starts lemonade stand to fund mom’s transplants

A Las Cruces girl has proven to be quite an entrepreneur as she works to reach an important goal.

Eleven-year-old Nemiah Martinez has sold lemonade outsider her home for the past three weekends to help her mother, Paloma, get kidney and pancreas transplants.

So far, Martinez has raised around $1,100.

“She’s very compassionate when it comes to all that. So it doesn’t surprise me at all. She’s just, I don’t know. I’m the lucky one,” Nemiah’s mom, Paloma, said.

Nemiah has also started a GoFundMe to help raise money.
