Las Cruces Crime Stoppers seeks tips after Vietnam memorial vandalized

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information on who is responsible for vandalizing the Vietnam War Memorial at Veterans Park. 

Thursday, Las Cruces Police learned that the Vietnam War Memorial at Veteran Park, 2651 N. Roadrunner Parkway, was damaged. 

Officials say four letters on the memorial wall appear to be removed and one of the downward vision windows of the helicopter-mounted high above the wall was shattered. 

The damage estimates have not yet been determined.

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $1,000. 

Anyone with information that can help identify the person or persons involved in causing the damage is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. 

Those who provide tips can remain anonymous.
