Telemarketing lawsuits result in donations to multiple charities

Larry Barker filed lawsuits against firms that violated federal and state law by making illegal telemarketing calls.

To date, most of those cases were settled out of court resulting in a total of $50,400 in cash settlements.

After attorney’s fees, the settlement money has been donated by Larry to 501(c)(3) non-profit or charitable organizations. Here is a partial list:

  • MS Society
  • National Dance Institute of New Mexico
  • OASIS
  • Lifelong Learning Institute (Washington University)
  • Think New Mexico
  • Assistance League of Albuquerque (KRQE Cares)
  • UNM Popejoy Hall
  • Albuquerque Bio-Park Society
