A historic New Mexico train depot is closing its ticket window.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports, the station in Lamy south of Santa Fe will remain in service.
However, Amtrak announced it will no longer sell tickets on site because of growing online sales.
The Lamy Station, built in 1909, is currently the Santa Fe stop between Chicago and Los Angeles.
An Amtrak spokesperson said while the company recognizes the historic value of the station, it doesn’t make sense to staff it the way they used to.
