DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – A shooting range and gun safety school will stay put in one Colorado county.
According to the Durango Herald, La Plata County Commissioners approved the facility on Tuesday, despite concerns from nearby residents.
The facility, located near the Durango-La Plata County Airport, was opened about four years ago but without a permit.
Now the owner has received the proper permit. Commissioners say it will feature a one-way firing range and shooting house with precautions in place to reduce noise and ricochets.
