WEDNESDAY: Another round of showers & storms is likely across the northern and western portions of the state by late afternoon. A few isolated storms may make it far enough south to reach the Albuquerque-metro area, although, coverage will be limited. Afternoon temperatures will be much warmer today compared to Tuesday with most of central NM back into the 70s. Winds will kick up by late day with sustained speeds likely to exceed 15mph.
THURSDAY: A quiet day in store with only a few isolated storms possible over the higher terrain of the Northern Mountains – majority of the state can expect more sunshine and warmer temps. Afternoon highs will jump into the 60s and 70s across northern and central NM; 80s expected further south.
FRIDAY: A front will begin its trek over the Northeastern Plains, likely giving way to scattered storms and showers with its entrance. Afternoon temperatures will be similar, and if not only a few degrees cooler, than what is expected Wednesday.
