THURSDAY: A line of weak showers stretched over Catron County up towards Union County will continue to fade through sunrise, leaving behind wet roads and a partly cloudy sky. Expect temperatures to be much warmer than what panned out Wednesday – most of us returning to the 70s and 80s (near average for this time of year). A handful of showers are possible over eastern and southwest NM as what’s left of Tropical Storm Newton falls apart over the state. Storms will be much fewer and far between that what was seen earlier in the week.
FRIDAY: A mostly quiet start to the day as we await an incoming cold front. Expect temperatures to be continue to warm with highs topping out in the upper 80s to low 90s up and down the Rio Grande Valley. Showers and storms will begin to fire late day along and behind the front over the Northeast Plains.
