Local kids hit the lanes with Albuquerque Police Department officers as part of the department’s “Camp Fearless,” Tuesday.
The week-long camp aims to help kids learn responsibility and team building, all while getting to know their local police officers and other first responders.
Forty kids between 9-12 years old were able to run the APD obstacle course and tour the crime lab before finishing up the day with some fun at the Isleta Bowling Alley.
Campers on Thursday are set to visit the National Guard Armory in Rio Rancho.
The kids were selected for the camp based on the letters they wrote explaining why they wanted to take part.
