ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Dozens of kids and teens in New Mexico are now US citizens.
US citizenship and immigration services presented them with official papers this morning. Some kids were adopted by American parents others acquired citizenship through immigrant parents who became citizens. The new citizens range from age five to sixteen years old.
Several teens said they’ve been waiting for this day since they can remember.
The kids are from around the world including Germany, Philippines, and Columbia.
