The verdict for a carjacker shot by police didn’t take long.

Lee Brandenburg tried to carjack a woman at gunpoint outside a state building on San Antonio near I-25 last year.

While trying to dodge a bail bondsman, when police confronted him, he pointed that gun at officers and they opened fire, hitting Brandenburg and the carjacking victim in the leg.

Thursday, a jury convicted Brandenburg of attempted robbery, attempted burglary, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer.

His attorneys tried to get him acquitted, saying the gun was only an airsoft.

He faces up to five years when he’s sentenced in June.
