The man charged in a double murder outside a local church was acquitted Monday and is now out of jail.

Anthony Kapinski, 25, was hanging out with Jordan Mucher and Paul Francia in the church parking lot on Montgomery and Carlisle last June.

Police say the men started fighting over car parts. Shots were fired and Mucher and Francia ended up dead.

Kapinski had claimed self-defense.

Monday, jurors unanimously found him not guilty on both counts of first-degree murder.
