Judge to decide if man accused of murder will stay behind bars until trial

It was an emotional day in court as the boyfriend of a woman allegedly killed by her neighbor took the stand.

Phillip Sedillo was arrested last week for the shooting death of Annamarie Charrette.

Police say Charrette was using the WiFi at 4H Park on Menaul when detectives say Sedillo confronted her and her boyfriend, Lawrence Jaramillo, for no apparent reason.

During a detention hearing Monday, that man recalled the shooting.

“She said that, ‘Oh s***, he has a gun,’ and I said, ‘What?'” Jaramillo said. “Then I just heard the cocking and then he just started shooting.”

The state is fighting to keep Sedillo behind bars, claiming he is a threat to the community.

Judge Brett Loveless is set to make a decision Friday.
