ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An accused killer was in court on Monday.

The Albuquerque Police Department says Darrius Valles shot and killed 42-year-old Jerry Jennings in January near Katheryn and Yale.

Police found an ankle bracelet at the scene they say belonged to Valles.

Valles left New Mexico and was later captured in California.

On Monday, a judge placed Valles on a no bond hold to prevent Valles from leaving the state again.
