The weather will be relatively quiet over the next couple of days. Temperatures will be on the cooler side, with afternoon highs about 10° cooler today than yesterday. Winds will be breezy at times, but otherwise, conditions will be great for the morning launches at Balloon Fiesta through Thursday.

A back door cold front will move into the state Friday, giving the east a shot a showers and another round of cold air. Winds will pick up in the metro Thursday night into Friday morning, but the canyon wind is not expected to be out of control. Over the weekend, our attention turns to a storm system moving in from Baja California. This will give the southern tier of the state another shot at showers.
