Showers will continue to impact New Mexico through at least the next 36 hours. A cold front will drop in this afternoon and evening, helping to kick off showers across the northeast and Northern Mountains. Additional snowfall is expected above 9000′ this evening and tonight. Meanwhile a weather disturbance will pass by southern New Mexico helping to focus showers across the southwest. With the Albuquerque metro caught in between, scattered showers are still a possibility this afternoon through tonight.
Showers will slowly diminish into the upcoming weekend. Friday will still feature a decent crop of showers and storms, but most of the state dries out over the weekend. Expect more sunshine by Sunday and early next week. With more sunshine also comes a warm up. The southeast will warm to the 80° mark by early next week, while the Albuquerque metro warms to the low to mid 70s.
