Investigators: New search turns up items of interest in Dylan Redwine case

News

DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) – Investigators say a new search in the unsolved death of Dylan Redwine turned up items of interest in the case. The 13-year-old went missing in November 2012 while he was visiting his father near Vallecito. His remains were found 7 months later.

The La Plata County Sheriff’s Office says nearly 70 people searched over the past five days in “Middle Mountain”, a rugged area that has never been searched before.

The sheriff’s office says they found some items, but they would not go into detail.

KRQE News 13 was told they will be tested and added to other evidence collected over the past three and a half years.

Mark Redwine, Dylan’s father, remains a person of interest.
