Inmate accused of starting fire at New Mexico detention center

Deputies say it was an inmate that started the fire at the detention center in Fort Sumner this week.

They say Felix Heras used a power strip and toilet paper to start a fire. It created so much smoke inmates had to be evacuated.

A corrections officer who tried to put the fire out suffered smoke inhalation.
