News

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – An injured barn owl has a new chance at life thanks to a local rancher. According to the Taos News, David Montoya, manager for the Wolf Springs Ranch near the Rio Grande

Gorge, found the owl caught in a fence.

He freed the owl, which had an injured wing, and kept it until a Game and Fish employee could get it.

The owl is now recovering at the New Mexico Wildlife Center.
