Hotel Albuquerque gears up for Winter Spanish Market

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Four hundred year old traditions combined with innovative Spanish Colonial style artwork makes for a great event for the whole family.

The 2016 Winter Spanish Market will showcase 20 unique art forms from woodcarving to jewelry, all created by local artists.

Artists, Randy Trujillo, Felipe Rivera, and Joshua Rivera, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the event. Watch above.

Guests can expect to indulge in generations of traditions which has been passed down from families of Spanish decent who settled in New Mexico. This Hispanic festival will also include local musicians, food, demonstrations and much more. Festival-goers will also have the opportunity to interact with the extraordinary artists.The event will be held at Hotel Albuquerque on Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26.

Private viewing will be held on the morning of the 25th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and general viewing begins at 1:30 p.m. The 26th doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
