A high-profile Albuquerque attorney was arrested overnight for DWI.
Bob Gorence was pulled over on I-40 near Sixth Street after an officer saw him swerving and traveling well below the speed limit. The officer says he blew above the legal limit on a breath test and was booked for misdemeanor DWI.
Gorence is a former federal prosecutor, and as a private attorney has defended some high-profile defendants, including former Sheriff Tommy Rodella, former Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil Giron, and fellow attorney Carlos Fierro, who killed a man in a drunk driving crash.
KRQE News 13 called Gorence on Monday, who said he would deal with the consequences of the court case and will address an underlying alcohol issue.
