CEDAR KEY, Fla. (AP) — Hurricane Hermine is steaming toward Florida’s Gulf Coast.

The National Hurricane Center says the storm’s winds increased to 75 mph this afternoon, just above the 74 mph hurricane threshold. It’s expected to move ashore along the state’s lightly populated Big Bend tonight or early tomorrow then head into Georgia, the Carolinas and up the East Coast as a tropical storm.
