ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – There is a haunting presentation coming up this Halloween season and it is exploring dark moments in New Mexico’s history.
“The Myth of the Hanging Tree” presentation will explore the history and lore of frontier justice especially hangings in territorial New Mexico.
It’s based on a book by local historian Robert J. Torrez, who’s leading the presentation.
It’s happening at the Bachechi Open Space off Alameda and Rio Grande Thursday at 7 p.m.
